I had done some tests with the school district and worked hand in hand with them on determining which coating would be the best performing product from ER Systems
We had looked at Erathane 300 Base coat and Erakote White as the finish coat.

When the bids came out, several manufacturers had wanted to use an acrylic coating for price reason, which we were willing to do, however I strongly recommended Erathane because of some small areas holding puddles of water.

When our contractor bid the roof, he also agreed that Erathane made for a stronger roof system and we worked together to bring in the best possible roof system for the owner. When the bids were opened an acrylic coating came in at 70,000.00 less than our Erathane/Erakote bid, however the school board was not convinced that acrylic was the right product to use.
After several hours of reviewing bullet points
• Dry mils of Urethane vs Acrylic 32 mils vs 20 mils
• Performance in small ponded areas
• The experience of our contractor
• The Experience of ER Systems sales team (this was a combined effort from our sales team).
We were able to win the contract for our customer, who performed the task under schedule and did a fabulous job in working with the school and maintenance staff to not interfere with opening of school.
