Naval Air Station, Fallon, NV
With the costs to reroof on the rise, Fallon naval air station needed a cost effective solution. Not only did they need something that was cost effective but they needed it to perform long term. That’s where ERSystems came into play with their Hypalon restoration system. All areas of concern on the roof were first made water tight to ensure long term performance. Next the entire roof was power washed at 3000 psi removing any dirt or debris that had built up over time. The first step in the coating process required Primer 1 to be applied over the entire roof for the acrylic coating to achieve superior adhesion to the hypalon roof. After the primer was applied 3 coats of Eraguard GC acrylic coating was applied. With this application they achieved a 10 year roof system that can be renewed to prolong the life of the roof after the first 10 year period.
